Born in India, Bhoomika Dewangan grew up watching her grandparents making colorful sculptures and those beautiful colors inspired her at an early age to strive for creativity. She is a self taught fulltime artist, she used to sketch during her studies and participated in various creative workshops in her childhood. And, after completing her graduation in Computer science, she realized that she has developed a great passion towards arts. Vancouver, Canada, is where Bhoomika currently lives with her husband and she has exhibited her artworks in various exhibitions in Canada.
Bhoomika’s art is full of abstractions, she uses language of lines, colors, shapes and textures to create compositions with bold brush strokes, this allows her to freely communicate visually without the constraint of forms found in objective reality. Bhoomika is mainly focused in making abstract, figurative and florals with Acrylic and Oil mediums. Nature’s forms, human emotions and spontaneous self expressions are a major source of inspiration in Bhoomika’s work. She loves to experiment with colors, ideas and techniques and she works towards developing paintings that speak both to her and to others about the beauty that surrounds us.
All her works are original artworks, when she sees her artworks, she feels energy, abundance and hope that inspires her to paint all the time. She aspires to create art that initiates a conversation, art that is open to interpretation, art that uplifts everyone to a higher plane of energies.
